Rock with screen-ready credentials.

Vanattica is the rock project of producer and writer Travis Leonard — better known to the studio world as HOBART. If the name doesn’t ring a bell, the catalog probably does: Confidential Liar has rotated through ESPN, MTV and the Watch Dogs video game.

That cross-screen pedigree gave the project a built-in audience — but one scattered across film, TV and gaming touchpoints rather than concentrated on a single DSP. The brief into TMMA Black: pull that audience onto Spotify, then build something the algorithm would keep feeding on its own.

/02 The Brief

Ten tracks, one number.

Grenade Sky — the ten-track Vanattica album — needed to land. The number on the brief was clean: 200,000 total streams across the album inside six months. No paid media. Playlisting only.

That meant we had to win on the merit of the songs — pitch them into real rock playlists, sequence the album so save velocity built across all ten tracks, and keep the curation engine warm long enough for the algorithm to take over.
